Content Marketing Manager at SAFER® Systems

SAFER is looking for a Content Marketing Manager with a SaaS/e-commerce background and a combination of online marketing experience, data-driven mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally. This role will be held accountable for creating and curating content to establish product positioning and messaging to drive more revenue at every stage of the marketing to post-sales funnel.

This role also entails managing multi-channel editorial calendars such as the website and social media, and brand materials across our marketing automation system. You’ll study, adhere and refine our voice & tone to develop content marketing campaigns that drive more traffic that ultimately generates/nurtures more customer demand. This position is required to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing and/or potential unplanned shifts in priorities and deadlines.

The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented individual that will be responsible for the production of major content assets and programs across all stages of the buyer’s journey. As a key contributor and author of content spanning a number of channels and delivery mechanisms, the Content Marketing Manager will create content that fuels demand generation to reach, engage, and convert prospects—feeding sales pipeline and accelerating customer conversions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborating with the Marketing Manager to create and maintain editorial calendar that supports broader marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Developing targeted content to drive demand generation, brand awareness, and customer communication.
  • Managing multiple content creators remotely and expanding the creation team network.
  • Measuring and optimizing content distribution by channel on a regular basis.
  • Establishing a network of digital and print publications to effectively distribute content to industry influencers.
  • Developing an editorial process so content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone.
  • Managing the companies email campaigns and communicating any company updates through email marketing.
  • Writing and optimizing website copy to improve positioning, messaging, and SEO.
  • Communicate major marketing, products, and sales initiatives & updates to the rest of the company.
  • Traveling for business and professional development events required.

GENERAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS or 3+ years of equivalent working experience (B2B marketing experience preferred).
  • Experience in writing for/about technology, environmental/occupational compliance and safety, or chemical processing fields.
  • Ability to establish a network of content creators to outsource projects to
  • Experience managing content distribution on multiple channels and supporting social media channels, including email/newsletter distribution.
  • Understanding of the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why.
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Ability to focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Expert PC, tablet, and phone user
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft® Windows Operating Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Basic understanding of local, cloud, and corporate networks

DIGITAL MARKETING SKILLS

  • Understanding web publishing requirements.
  • Basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure (ability to conduct keyword and backlink research a plus).
  • Experience with WordPress or other CRP platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce of other CSM platforms.
